The Juillot family have been involved in the Côte Chalonnaise winemaking trade since the middle of the fifteenth century and each generation has inherited both the skills and passion for winemaking of their forebears and the determination to produce wines of the highest quality. A brilliant gold in colour, the nose displays floral notes which complement the ripe pear and peach flavours on the palate. A touch of vanilla, from the oak ageing gives a roundness to the wine, which gives a slight hint of hazelnut on the aftertaste.

"A rare Premier Cru white Mercurey (the appellation produces far more red) and a very good example. It's nutty and wheaty with a piercing minerality, an underlying creamy texture and lingering, well-balanced acidity. Very mineral, very Mercurey."
