Viré-Clessé 2009/2010 Pasquier Desvignes

This is a great price tag for such a good Viré-Clessé. The nose exudes fresh and delicate aromatics of tropical fruits, which give way to subtle minerality on the palate and intense flavours of fresh stone fruit.

Two-thirds of the wine is aged in new French oak, for a voluptuous, layered texture and huge toasty bouquet, while the acidity is still incisive and freshening. Immense complexity and length.
