Dark purplish red, with a classic Rhône nose of red and black berries, enhanced with a touch of wild herbs and spice. Has plenty of body, but is supple and freshly juicy on the palate, with good length.

Peter Lehmann Shiraz 2008/2009 Barossa Valley

Shiraz is the trademark Barossa grape, whose fleshy, spicy red fruit characters are a great reflection of the long, hot ripening season in this great region. This displays superb depth and dark-chocolate-like aromas on the nose.

Vergelegen Red 2004 Stellenbosch

Cassis, pencil lead, spice and red berries abound on the nose. Matured in new French oak, the fruit, tannin structure and fine acidity indicate a wine of balance and finesse.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2008 Château de Beaucastel

This wine is part of an Exclusive Parcel secured through our Fine Wine Centre. 'More evolved than Beaucastel's wines tend to be, it reveals a healthy dark plum/ruby color, notes of licorice, meat juices, smoked game, black currants and garrigue, medium to full body, silky tannins, good freshness, surprising depth for the vintage and a long finish. Drink it over the next decade'. 90 points. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate.

Meerlust Merlot 2007/2008 Stellenbosch

Made in the 'right-bank' tradition, this is a blend of 89% Merlot with 11% Cabernet Franc. Juicy plum and mulberry fruit abound on the nose, with lifted spiciness and hints of dark chocolate and inkiness.
