If you think that California can't produce good wine....try this!!
It's a big hearty red wine, full bodied with tastes of black cherries and dark fruits that linger on and on. Goes fantastically well with juicy steaks....season with plenty of black pepper, a little rock salt, cook rare to medium in the middle and black on the outside..fantastic!!
I've had the pleasure of meeting the winemaker, Joel Peterson, a couple of times over the years. He always has a smile on his face....try a bottle of Ravenswood with 'blackened' steak and you'll understand why!
