Grape

Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Grenache, Merlot, Syrah or Shiraz

Origin
An amazing value limited parcel from acclaimed Bordeaux winemaker Bernard Magrez, this combines Bordeaux and Languedoc styles. Part of the blend has seen ageing in French oak barrels for 6 months which, with some bottle age, has softened the once powerful tannins.
Taste
This is a powerful black fruit and spice-driven red, with layers of leafy, herbaceous complexity.
Enjoy
Snap up this wine while you can and marvel at the unbelievably low price over a rich beef stew.

    Top Red

Am not an aficiodado regarding Southern Reds, but this woderful example hits the spot. Serve at the right temperature and it will accompany the entire menu and leave the perfect aftertaste. Please keep stocking. Superb.

    Brilliant full bodied red

Love this red. At the bargain price of £6.49 at current discount will be ordering more. Full bodied and 14% which is how I like it. Get some in is my advice.

    Interesting

Not what i expected from a wine just south of Carcassonne.. Slightly petillant, but good with cheese. Bottle label very disappointing, no information, just advertising.

    Excellent full bodied red

A hefty 14% but really great southern french red and nice to have seen it on a favoured local restaurant wine list recently

    Go steady with this

Very smooth, very gluggable, very strong. This is the problem. At 14% it's just too high in alcohol content. If only it was 12.5-13% it would be brilliant. On the positive side it does taste far better than the high alcohol chemical laden rubbish from Australia. So hopefully it won't be too head-ache inducing. I do wish Majestic would get in some decent swillable French reds.

Majestic stocks many decent French reds in its South of France list. And one or two indecent ones.
