An unashamedly big, ripe and buttery Chardonnay (2011 Vintage)
"An unashamedly big, ripe and buttery Chardonnay that we would describe as New World if it weren't for the fact that so many producers outside (as well as in) Europe are now making the variety in a much more restrained style. Anyway, with its 12 months in new French oak, its rich, buttery-creamy and butterscotch palate, and its notes of toast, banana and mango, this is an opulent and weighty although not (quite) flabby blast from the past that will appeal to the many people who still like their Chardonnays to come with a bit of brawn. Rating: 85/100 (The Wine Gang, www.thewinegang.com November 2012)"
