This is produced exclusively for Majestic from the heart of the Wairau Valley in New Zealand's Marlborough region, as well suited to this Burgundian variety as it is to Sauvignon Blanc.
Taste
Opulently fruity on the nose and filled with ripe, concentrated, tropical and citrus flavours, richly textured with a finely structured finish.
Enjoy
An excellent wine with meaty white fish.

    A beautiful chardi

    This is a top quality kiwi chardonnay - it has deep fruit and a crip acidity. Really nice.

    Wow

    Holy moly, this is so good. Very creamy and but still with good citrus tang. The woody, vanilla oak taste is subtle and develops in the mouth to a soft hazelnut. This is a seriously good wine.

    All bit of all things to all Chardonnay Lovers

    This is a very versatile wine - if you like the crisp acidity bit ( like Scott Bailey ) then chill it well down. You'll still get some good depth of flavour without anaesthetisiing your taste buds. Put it on the back doorstep for an hour instead and a more buttery, smoother aspect emerges. An absolute steal on offer at £5.99 (Nov 2011)

    We always buy when on offer

    Great value Kiwi chardonnay. For those who like them Oaky. Like most kiwi wines it doesn't lead on subtle, but we roar through it.

    Great Value

    Very buttery, almost too much. Subtle it isn't. But if you like this kind of new world chardonnay, then you get great bang for your buck.

    Very interesting

    Much more austere than I was expecting - but none the worse for that. A really clean taste; creamy but not really buttery; unusual. Somehow suspended between the Old World and the New. Well worth a try.
