Origin
Bonterra's belief that organically grown grapes make wines 'simply taste better' has fuelled their quest to become one of the world leaders in organic viticulture. Aged in primarily neutral oak to express the fruit quality, new oak use has been reduced in the élevage.
Taste
A rich and buttery aroma with notes of honey, toasted almonds and pineapple and crème Brûlée. Layers of rich stonefruit, cream and vanilla, crisp mineral acidity and a long and rounded finish.
Enjoy
Enjoy over the next three years with white bean cassoulet, poultry and vegetarian tartlet.

    A Hymn To The Joys Of Oak

    The use of oak is greatly underrated in wine. Too many people are immediately put off by any mention of the sacred wood. Yet here is a superb example of it perfectly harmonising with a wine. This is a lovely mix of toasty, nutty flavours and glorious tropical and citrus fruit undertones, all topped off with a rounding acidity. In all, a very well-balanced wine, and better than much White Burgundy at this price, and I don't care who knows it!

    Bonterra Chardonnay

    This wine is gorgeous - silky smooth and very creamy. A bargain at the price.

    "We enjoy the smoky, slightly oaky and funky nose to this Chardonnay from one of California's most prominent organic wine producers, Bonterra. The richness is mirrored on the palate, with a waxy, caramelised apple flavour (without the sweetness, obviously) that gives it great appeal.
