Origin
This wine is named after the legendary 'Devil's Bridge', a 15th century stone bridge in the town of Cividale in Friuli. The wine is made by Kiwi winemaker Matt Thomson, consultant winemaker for a number for wineries throughout Italy, Bordeaux and New Zealand.
Taste
Pale straw yellow in colour, with green reflections. A lightly fragrant nose of dessert apples with delicate blossom notes. Elegant and well balanced on the palate, with soft, peachy acidity.
Enjoy
Drink with spaghetti carbonara, or with seafood salads.

    Moreish

A very refreshing, dry white that tingles the tastebuds.

    Style and substance

A white that compared to its sibling Pinot - the Grigio, has so much more substance and style. You can just taste the ripeness of the grapes and the wonderful full flavour. If you want to try something different instead of the 'safe' option please try this, its great.

Staff Reviews

  • Classic everyday pleaser

"I'm often questioned by my Majestic colleagues as to why I love this wine so much. Simple answer it's fruity, fresh and just a really fun wine to drink. It was my staple white this summer and I still find myself having a glass or two even now as the day's grow shorter. It's a definite on my wine list this Chirstmas"

"New to Majestic's range, this bright, aromatic and apple-scented wine also has some chewy pear drop fruit. A safe, rather than exciting choice with a slightly watery finish. Rating: 85/100 Goes with: Aperitif wine, Fish & Seafood."
