Named after one of the tallest rugged peaks to the southeast of the vineyard, The Ned offers superb purity of fruit and varietal character. A nose of nettles and grass leads to generous gooseberry flavours with a smoky herbal twist on the palate reminiscent of a well-crafted Sancerre. The stony terroir gives the wine a subtle gun flint minerality which delivers extra complexity.

The best Marloborough Sauvignon Blanc I've had in ages - ripe, fresh and lively. It's possibly worth it's usual price of £9.99, but warrants 5 stars at £5.99. Exceptional value.
