Named after one of the tallest rugged peaks to the southeast of the vineyard, The Ned offers superb purity of fruit and varietal character. A nose of nettles and grass leads to generous gooseberry flavours with a smoky herbal twist on the palate reminiscent of a well-crafted Sancerre. The stony terroir gives the wine a subtle gun flint minerality which delivers extra complexity.

The Ned SB

Lives up to what you would expect from an NZ Marlborough Sauv Blanc. Small glasses show off its fruity nuances and a big riedel or dartington allows it to get all minerally, its certainly not a 5 star wine lets be honest, its prob an 87-89 pointer on a 100 scale so therefore a 4 star wine. But still comes out ahead of Oyster Bay and other competitors at the same price (ish)

All the great flavours you come to expect from a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc but also very smooth.
A winner for me. I highly recommend it.
