Named after one of the tallest rugged peaks to the southeast of the vineyard, The Ned offers superb purity of fruit and varietal character. A nose of nettles and grass leads to generous gooseberry flavours with a smoky herbal twist on the palate reminiscent of a well-crafted Sancerre. The stony terroir gives the wine a subtle gun flint minerality which delivers extra complexity.

Lives up to what you would expect from an NZ Marlborough Sauv Blanc. Small glasses show off its fruity nuances and a big riedel or dartington allows it to get all minerally, its certainly not a 5 star wine lets be honest, its prob an 87-89 pointer on a 100 scale so therefore a 4 star wine. But still comes out ahead of Oyster Bay and other competitors at the same price (ish)

All the great flavours you come to expect from a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc but also very smooth. A winner for me. I highly recommend it.

My favourite sauvignon, indeed my favourite white wine. This is a wonderful New Zealand sauvignon.
