  Good example of a southern syrah

  nice mix of fruit and pepper , excellent value.

  Syrah, NOT Shiraz

  If Syrah is French and rustic and full of herbal savoury character with brooding dark fruits, then this is most definitely that. Shiraz, this isnt. Shiraz is ripe and juicy and distinctly lacking that savoury character that Syrah so abundantly has. If you can bear that in mind, and like the former, then you wont be disappointed with this.

  Very good value

  Very good at the offer price of £6.99. I tasted it at a friend's house last Saturday and ordered 24 bottles yesterday. Just tried the first and it confirmed my opinion. It is a food wine but still enjoyable on its own.

  Good wine

  A nice medium bodied wine with nice spice and concentrated berry flavours. Good value at the discounted price. Do be sure to let it breathe for at least an hour.

  Good but not great

  Certainly not offensive to drink but doesn't offer much in comparison to other Shiraz. I think there are better buys at this price
