Description

Made from 100% Tempranillo from Spain's Toro region, Numanthia is a potent and full-bodied red with aromas of cassis, blackberry, cedar, spice and coffee. Aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, it serves up rich flavours of blackberry, chocolate and spice, leaving a long and memorable finish. Powerful, layered and complex, it is enjoyable immediately but will also reward 10 years' cellaring.

    "A more polished than average Toro, made from 100% Tempranillo aged for 20 months in French oak. It has sweet, rich, meaty aromas and a big, structured palate with deep, chocolaty, baked berry flavours cloaked in new oak. The tannins are chunky and grainy, but ripe, not harsh. Rating: 90/100 Goes with: Red meat & Dark game, Hard cheese, Barbecues."
