This family winery cultivates 24 hectares of vineyards across 17 separate parcels, where the vines average 60 years of age. The wine is intensely aromatic, with a herbal smokiness and hints of game. The Maurel brothers have a large estate with significant holdings in the famous La Crau vineyard, which forms the backbone of this wine. Produced from 70-year-old vines, it has a nose of crushed raspberry, plum and kirsch. This is a dense, layered wine with hints of lavender and cinnamon, ripe tannins and a lush texture.

Attractively sweet-natured on the nose, with wild strawberry and dark cherry fruit. On the palate this is full-bodied, with notes of plum, cherry and blueberry, as well as fruitcake spice and a touch of a white pepper.
