From one of the very best premier cru vineyards this is a classic steely dry Chablis with a little more richness than usual due to the excellence of the vintage. The Pinson family continue to produce excellent wines that can age 4-5 years.
An intense and focused nose of stone and citrus fruits, with smoky, mineral notes and very subtle oak. Great purity on the palate, with the mineral streak adding texture and length.

Blueberry, grapefruit, and lemon too are prominent... Emerging deep-seated nuttiness and herbal inflections promise further complexity as this enjoys a couple of years of bottle age'. 91 points, David Schildknecht, The Wine Advocate.
Excellent Chassagne-Montrachet from this low-lying 1er Cru vineyard, made by Richard Fontaine. Superbly rounded yet firmly structured, and with an expressive personality. Ideal for drinking immediately, or over the next 2-3 years.
The superbly situated vines of André Buisson's Meursault Le Poruzot produce fine wines that are aged for 14-18 months in wood. Opulent, rich and buttery with mineral overtones.
Another superb effort from Chassagne-Montrachet specialist Richard Fontaine. Clos St Jean lies toward the northern end of the appellation close to St Aubin, and borders a limestone quarry; evidence of the region's limestone-rich soil. The wine has notable minerality and focus, with intriguing smoky notes on the nose.
With a complex nose of greengage, grilled hazelnuts and spring flowers the palate is plump and round with a medium body, crisp acidity and lovely integration of fruit and oak.

Aromas of pears mingle with the rounder flavours of buttered toast and vanilla on the rich, fat palate. The finish is superb.
"...with mouth-watering, bright citrus playing against toasted nuts and grain, salt and stone. Rather lean, but infectiously juicy and energizing, it should be enjoyable for at least 4-5 years". 89 points. David Schildknecht, The Wine Advocate.
