    "Regarded as one of the finest sites in Puligny Montrachet, 'Les Pucelles' neighbours the Grand Crus of Batard and Bienvenues. Similar in style to its big brothers, the 2007 'Les Pucelles' from Jomain is superb. A powerful nose of citrus peel, buttered toast, toasted hazelnuts and lemon curd. Gob-smackingly gorgeous, it is rich and powerful but maintains a wonderful elegance due to the fantastic mineral / citrus backbone. Sensational!!"

    Following the ultra-ripe 2003s, the 2004 vintage represented a welcome return to classical elegance. Although humbly labelled, this (far from humble) wine is barrel-fermented in 1/3 new oak casks, then aged for a further 12 months before bottling. Drinking well now.
