Château Rieussec 2009 Sauternes, 1er Cru Classé

A defined and elegant nose of candied lemon peel, honeysuckle and white flowers. Flavours of peach and the subtle botrytis notes of marmalade envelop the palate. This has a pleasing weight, cut-through by a crisp dart of acidity and a mineral edge. Lovely poise and direction, very refined indeed.

Château Climens 2009 Barsac, 1er Cru Classé

Rich on the palate, yet retaining a lovely sense of delicacy and an expressive florality. There is, naturally, sweetness here, but it seems subtle and reined in. This is likely to be a precise and understated wine, with great poise and finesse.

Château l'Evangile 2007 Pomerol

From a top-quality small Pomerol estate, blended from around 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Now fully mature, the 2003 vintage is a soft, elegant wine showing notes of figs, prunes and dried cherries, and subtle herbal notes.
