Sancerre Comte Lafond 2010 Ladoucette

Ladoucette is one of the top Pouilly-Fumé producers and this is his marvellous Sancerre. Refined and elegantly balanced it boasts an aromatic complexity of ripe gooseberries and rhubarb.

Château Rieussec 2006 Sauternes, 1er Cru

There's lots going on here with plenty of sweetness, and the property's track record certainly suggests this will be a hit in the long term.

Exceptional elegance and depth with lovely ripe pear flavours overlaying a firm gooseberry structure.

Château Rieussec 2003 Sauternes, 1er Cru Classé

Now bottled they are gorgeous, rich wines and will drink well early. Generally just behind Yquem in quality Rieussec is a very fine wine indeed.

One of the many excellent Pomerols from Christian Moueix this year, the 2006 Certan de May is a tightly woven, focused and impressive wine.
