From one of Burgundy's most revered producers, this wine has great purity and freshness, with an aromatic richness from the notes of peach and white fruit.
Using a blend of five grape varieties it is unsurprising that the palate is so complex with apricot, white musk and sesame characters. The result is a beautifully rich different style wine.
Whilst this wine may not be available from the Fine Wine Centre please check with your local store for availability. "Reveals a deep ruby hue, notes of sweet cherries, roasted herbs, licorice, and gamy meat, and good fruit, structure, purity, and freshness" - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate.
"Spicy, cedary, herbal notes intermixed with red and black currants and some background oak make for a medium-bodied, well-made St.-Emilion that will drink nicely for 10-12 years". 87 points. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate (Feb 2009).

A more supple, early-drinking expression of the estate's style, the Sirene offers a fleshy core of fruit accented with notes of smoke, spice and creosote. The excellent 2006 vintage is drinking superbly now, and will continue to develop for another 5-10 years.

This superbly-made Italian middleweight is soft and harmonious, with a fine balance of intense sour cherry flavours and polished tannins.
A defined and elegant nose of candied lemon peel, honeysuckle and white flowers. Flavours of peach and the subtle botrytis notes of marmalade envelop the palate. This has a pleasing weight, cut-through by a crisp dart of acidity and a mineral edge. Lovely poise and direction, very refined indeed.
A classic Pauillac, this is an obvious major improvement from the proprietors, the Casteja family. 89 points. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate.
Attractively sweet-natured on the nose, with wild strawberry and dark cherry fruit. On the palate this is full-bodied, with notes of plum, cherry and blueberry, as well as fruitcake spice and a touch of a white pepper. Beautifully balanced, this is highly drinkable and will pair well with rich seasonal casseroles and roasted lamb.
