Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vignoble Abeille 2007 Mont Redon

A superbly balanced wine between youthful fruit and warm, oaky complexity where the nose and palate are replete with notes of cinnamon and clove amid the the dense bramble fruit.

Côte Rôtie 2007 Bernard Bergaud

Deep in hue, with dark cherry and berry fruit on the nose and hints of peppery spice. The typical purity and accessibility of Burgaud's Côte-Rôtie is here, with bold fruit of finely judged ripeness. The spice and pepper hints of the nose are in evidence too, as is a marked, stony minerality.

Hermitage Blanc Marquis de la Tourette 2009 Delas Frères

This wine shows beautiful, rich aromas of apricots, peaches and white flowers, with a soft nutty character from the oak ageing. The palate is round and sumptuous with a touch of tangerine zest, adding a delightful streak of freshness.

Côte Rôtie Cuvée Classique 2007 René Rostaing

Pure, expressive, with dusky dark fruit and enticing spice. The palate shows a fresh, elegant nature with good depth of fruit. Layered and textured, with a smoky, almost gamey note of complexity and underlying spice. Classic, fine-tuned Côte-Rôtie with fine, yet gently gripping tannins. Impressive.

Les Chaillets comes from some of the oldest vines on Yves Cuilleron's estate, producing a fat and rich Viognier, with great concentration and complexity.

Pale yellow and translucent in the glass, the nose is subdued with hints of peach, spice and even a slightly herbal note. The palate is broad and restrained; a serious, structured wine, but with an attractive, gentle acidity.

Outstanding white Hermitage from one of the most sought-after producers in the region. On the nose, there are notes of white flowers and honeyed citrus. These characters carry through to a palate, which has immense concentration and yet is balanced by a zesty acidity. Poised and elegant, yet powerful.
