Yering Station's international award winning winemaker Tom Carson says that this wine represents a change in winemaking technique and style for Yering Station. The addition of 5% of Viognier to fermenting grapes is a technique long used by producers in 'Côte Rôtie'. A silky rich palate reveals layers of concentrated fine tannins and bags of powerful fruit that provide a wonderful length. Still youthful this will age beautifully. Optimum drinking 2006-2016.

"Australian Shiraz is too alcoholic. The vogue down under is for balanced reds as this hypnotically succulent wine shows. "
