Intense and complex on the nose, which offers an array of fruit accented by notes of chestnuts, burnt toffee, chocolate and lavender. Full and lush on the palate, with a supple texture and good length.
A traditional Châteauneuf blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 5% cinsault and Mourvedre, matured for 12-18 months in French oak barriques. This family winery cultivates 24 hectares of vineyards across 17 separate parcels, where the vines average 60 years of age. The wine is intensely aromatic, with a herbal smokiness and hints of game. Full-bodied yet supple, with a spicy muscularity. Drink now or cellar for 5-10 years.
This wine has a complex nose of strawberry and fig, accented with notes of roasted coffee bean, vanilla and light toast. Smooth, spicy and harmonious on the palate.
"Dark red cherries flowers and sweet spices literally jump from the glass in a wine that is both extroverted and imbued with a cool sense of classicism. The wine’s relatively upfront personality makes it a great choice for restaurant drinking. There is an immediacy here that is simply fabulous." 92 points. Antonio Galloni, The Wine Advocate
Like an exotic Hermitage but at half the price, only a limited volume comes into the UK, buy it while we have some in stock!
"The dark ruby/plum-hued 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape Tradition is a sexy, open-knit, delicious, richly fruity, full-bodied wine with lots of herbes de Provence/bouquet garni notes intermixed with hints of graphite, plums, figs, blueberries and black raspberries." 90 points. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate

The Maurel brothers have a large estate with significant holdings in the famous La Crau vineyard, which forms the backbone of this wine. Produced from 70-year-old vines, it has a nose of crushed raspberry, plum and kirsch. This is a dense, layered wine with hints of lavender and cinnamon, ripe tannins and a lush texture.
Straw-coloured yellow, full of golden highlights with clear and luminous brilliance. The nose offers floral notes of mimosa and orange blossoms, accompanied by fruity perfumes of apple and pineapple. In the background are hints of citrus, honey, flint and candied fruit. Pleasingly luscious and fresh in the mouth.
The varieties are vinified separately before belnding and maturation in French and American oak. The wine has an intense violet colour and a soft and rounded fruit profile, and can be enjoyed immediately or over the next 3-4 years.
The Benegas family were true wine pioneers, having been among the first to bring noble French varieties to Argentina in the late 1800s. Meritage is a Bordeaux-inspired blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, from an old vineyard site in Mendoza's Maipo sub-region. The wine has immense depth, and a complex and savoury structure, reminiscent of a cru classé Bordeaux. Drink now or cellar for 10-15 years.
'The 2007 Shiraz O'Riada raises the bar with its complex aromatics of pepper, mineral, scorched earth, spice box, blueberry, and blackberry.' Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, 91+ points
