"Nepenthe! It's described in Homer's 'The Odyssey' as a drink so powerful that it eased grief and banished sorrow from the mind! Well, it certainly does that when 'Strictly come Ice Skating in the jungle get me out of here' is on the tele! Believe me, if you're made to watch reality TV like everyone else you need a wine like this to help you through it. Its elegant, lively with fresh tropical fruit and a great zesty length. So get yourself some Nepenthe and you'll never fall victim to the grief and sorrow of reality TV ever again."

Layered on the palate, it has tons of fruit, plenty of spice box notes, a firm structure, and 2-3 years of ageing potential.' 92 points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.
"Another stunning wine from Ribera del Duero, one of my favourite regions of Spain, which is gaining cult status and usually has prices to match. This fine example is aged in both French and American oak for 12 months and offers a beautiful nose of dark fruits, smoke and pencil shavings. The palate is a real mouthful, rich and powerful yet beautifully balanced with a silky smooth texture. At this price, it offers great value and has the potential to age, if you can bring yourself to do such a thing. Personally, I don't think I could leave it alone... "
