    Hard to beat at £6.49

For cheap fizz I reach for Prosecco or Cava. Prosecco is generally tasting rather sweet to me recently. Whether this is a trend in the way it is made or my palate is to blame I don't know. This is a well made, not too aggressive or acidic Cava, and at this price it easily takes pole position in the cheap thrill fizz stakes.

    Good bargain cava

Nice cava at the price. Great to add a bit of peach puree or elderflower cordial for an aperitif.

    Excellent value

tried a few bottles of fizz recently as buying for daughters christening and this was by far the nicest out of the £5 - £10 range that we tasted.. Will certainly buy again

    Cave

This is good cava, The Codorniu family have been making cava for over two decades and allways produces. This is a very lively wine with strong stone fruit flavours but also has a touch of class about it with some subtle toasty and biscuity flavours associated with champagne. Overall, a good fizz at a great price

  • "Summer's best, cheapest bubbly is this stylish Spaniard from Codorníu. Made by the método tradicional, the same method used in Champagne, from the usual trio of Penedès grapes, parellada, xarel-lo and macabeo, this sub-£6 bargain won’t hang around for long. So if you fancy a simple, zesty, citrus, slightly frothy, 11.5 per cent alcohol fizz, this is for you. "
