    Fruity goodness!

Fruit and more fruit, and slightly more richness than most southern french whites. Another example of really decent cheap wine from Majestic. Not sure how another reviewer thought this was sharp. That word is banded around far too much for my liking in the wine world, its so ambiguous. All wines need acidity and sharpness otherwise they would just be sugary grape juice, its how the sharpness is balanced with everything else that counts and this is balanced nicely.

Easy to drink, refreshing white wine

Fresh-tasting with hints of grapefruit, this is a very pleasant wine, perfectly drinkable on its own, but better with food.

when I first found this I thought it was a bargain

Its still a good cheap wine for a party en masse but I can't drink it anymore..I used to like to put a few in my case to make it cheaper overall but having happily done it a few times I now don't. I guess being not in perfect health makes me a fussy wine drinker these days..its average to below average wine but good for the price.

    Not great

I bought this on the strength of the reviews - particularly the press reviews but found it too sharp despite being a dry white wine drinker

    Cracking session wine

Crisp, uncomplicated wine. Will go with anything and an ideal party wine or when you want something with some presence but don't fancy cracking an expensive bottle

Press Reviews

  • "Herb-and-celery-stashed zesty, fruity Gascon white, all the better for a dash of sauvignon. Gorgeous."

  • "The simple label says this is a dry, clean and crisp white from the south-west of France (actually near Toulouse) and that it has fresh citrus lemon aromas. Impossible to argue with that, apart from adding that it is made from a blend of Colombard and Ugni Blanc, together with a little Sauvignon, and that at this price it is a great buy, which is pretty much perfect as an aperitif or for spring party glugging."
