Origin
The famed appelation of Meursault, in Burgundy's Côte du Beaune, is stylistically the richest, most nutty of the great white Burgundies. As a local proverb has it, 'he who drinks only Meursault will never be a drunkard'.
Taste
This wine is deliciously complex, showing a fine bouquet of hazelnut, toast and honey developing into hues of lime and quince. It has a plump, full-bodied palate with remarkable persistence.
Enjoy
A good partner to roast chicken.

    over priced

I bought a couple of bottles at £16 each. I have been searching for a really buttery wine having had a mystery wine in a restaurant a few years ago. I am just not sure it is worth the price having had similar tasting wines at £5-6 a bottle. It has a good complex taste and isn't a bad wine, but it lacks that standout buttery taste I was expecting at this price. My advice save your pennies and go for a cheaper white burgandy

  • "Meursault is the perfect festive white burgundy, with seductive, rich, creamy, nutty chardonnay fruit. Factor in the grand 2008 burgundy vintage and you ate in for a treat. This ripe, spicy, nutty, toasty meursault is a triumph."
