A really superb effort from one of Sauternes's top properties, the 2007 Rieussec has a wonderfully viscous golden hue, a complex nose of honey, brioche, apricots and minerals. The palate has a lovely rich sweetness, but it's a spicy, fruity sweetness backed by good acidity that stops it being in any way cloying - in fact, even at this early age it's really moreish. Fabulous stuff to drink 2015-2035. 17.8 points (out of 20)

En Primeur wines are still in barrel at the châteaux and are sold as ‘futures’ up to two years in advance of delivery. The price includes delivery in-bond to a dedicated storage account. Before your wine arrives in the UK you will have the option to specify duty-paid delivery to an address of your choice, but you will need to pay a release fee to cover duty, VAT and handling at the prevailing rates.

"Sweet, vaguely sticky nose. Certainly impressive for the sugar level! And there's an attractive savoury undertow that stops it being sickly. Lots there. Reverberates. Long. Very long. It has that thing that a good Condrieu has: a subtext. 19 points (out of 20)."
