Belgrave is managed by leading Bordeaux negoçiant CVBG who have employed the famous consultant Michel Rolland to drive considerable improvements from this formerly underperforming classed growth. Made in a modern, approachable style this wine again stands out from the pack at its price and status level - bright cassis and graphite on the nose, with a juicy palate and grippy but not aggressive tannins. Made for early pleasure rather than extended cellaring - from 2010-2014. 15.1 points (out of 20)

"Some toast and pepper on the nose. Quite noble fruit concentration. Round and silky fruit. Much better than most Haut-Médocs. Supple fruit with some zestiness. A little green on the finish but not bad. Oak a little obvious. 16+ points (out of 20)."

"Light and fruity, like the rest from this appellation, with some currant and mineral character. Short. 82-85 points."
