A Margaux second growth trying to re-establish its once great reputation. This is a good start, with a perfumed and stylish nose of violets and blackberry, the palate is broad and compact at this stage but shows much promise. A classy wine which should shed its weighty tannins and blossom from 2012. 15.0 points (out of 20)

• En Primeur wines are still in barrel at the châteaux and are sold as ‘futures’ up to two years in advance of delivery. The price includes delivery in-bond to a dedicated storage account. Before your wine arrives in the UK you will have the option to specify duty-paid delivery to an address of your choice, but you will need to pay a release fee to cover duty, VAT and handling at the prevailing rates.

"Very dark crimson. Rather sharp and very obviously fruity. A bit stodgy at the moment - lots of press wine? Very chewy and a bit of a hole on the mid palate. Definitely hollow. Pretty green tannins - not comfortable!"
