Henri Boillot describes his 2006s as wines of great power, during our visit he claimed them a huge improvement on the excellent 2005s and compared the vintage to 1986 (well stored wines are still drinking well now). These were some of the best 2006 whites we tasted, with salinity, depth and a consistency and level of vineyard expression not found at many domaines.Boillot is a perfectionist and I suspect his wines will continue to draw admiration from the same people who have made Coche Dury unaffordable. Majestic gets a small annual allocation of these superb wines, buy them while you can.
