1989 was a great vintage in Bordeaux and especailly for the Merlot dominated wines of the right bank. Pavie has some of the best terroir in St-Emilion, now fully mature the nose is complex and developing with notes of black cherry, fruitcake and leather. With a richly textured and plump palate there are many layers and great length, drink over the next 4-6 years with roast meats.
