A project by Bodegas Roda, one of Rioja's leading wineries, to make a top quality modern Tempranillo in Ribera del Duero. Following four years of research, the La Horra vineyards were identified as Roda's chosen Duero site, and Corimbo was first produced here in 2008.
This wine has a complex nose of strawberry and fig, accented with notes of roasted coffee bean, vanilla and light toast. Smooth, spicy and harmonious on the palate.
"Dark red cherries flowers and sweet spices literally jump from the glass in a wine that is both extroverted and imbued with a cool sense of classicism. The wine’s relatively upfront personality makes it a great choice for restaurant drinking. There is an immediacy here that is simply fabulous." 92 points. Antonio Galloni, The Wine Advocate
"The dark ruby/plum-hued 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape Tradition is a sexy, open-knit, delicious, richly fruity, full-bodied wine with lots of herbes de Provence/bouquet garni notes intermixed with hints of graphite, plums, figs, blueberries and black raspberries." 90 points. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
The Maurel brothers have a large estate with significant holdings in the famous La Crau vineyard, which forms the backbone of this wine. Produced from 70-year-old vines, it has a nose of crushed raspberry, plum and kirsch. This is a dense, layered wine with hints of lavender and cinnamon, ripe tannins and a lush texture.

The Benegas family were true wine pioneers, having been among the first to bring noble French varieties to Argentina in the late 1800s. Meritage is a Bordeaux-inspired blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, from an old vineyard site in Mendoza's Maipo sub-region. The wine has immense depth, and a complex and savoury structure, reminiscent of a cru classé Bordeaux. Drink now or cellar for 10-15 years.

Inky and concentrated in the glass with liquorice and bramble fruit on the nose. Extremely pure on the palate with stunning definition and finesse. A magnificent village Châteauneuf from one of the region's rising stars, Julien Barrot.
"[T]he 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de Felix reminded me of a high class Pomerol. Notes of mulberries, kirsch, figs, damp earth, forest floor and spice box are present in this round, gracious, generous, full-bodied effort. Enjoy it now and over the next 10-15 years". 91 points. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
Chile's first super-premium Syrah, Folly is grown in the Finca de Apalta vineyard, which lies on a slope exceeding 45º. The difficult terrain and mature vines keep yields low, while the altitude and sun exposure produce a quality of fruit rarely achievable elsewhere, further boosted by intensive hand-sorting. Showing a deep and vivid purple colour, the wine offers a velvety backdrop of dense black fruit, overlayed with chocolate, toast, vanilla and tobacco leaf.
This fine Barolo is named after the Gromis family, previous owners of the vineyard from whence it comes. Now owned by Gaja, its fruit is blended with that of another top quality vineyard in Serralunga, and is aged for a total of 24 months in oak, around half in barrique and half in old oak casks. A powerful, dense, yet lifted and floral wine, nuanced with licquorice and herb notes.
The signature wine of the Viader family estate, made by Delia Viader and her son Alan, in consultation with Michel Rolland. A blend of around 70% Cabernet Sauvignon with 30% Cabernet Franc, it is a well-weighted and harmonious wine, offering a complex bouquet of red and blue berries nuanced with notes of oak toast, followed by a smooth, spice-infused palate.

If Mon Aïeul is all about terroir, then Deux Frères is all about the winemaking ability of brothers Thierry and Jean-Pierre Usseglio. The nose, displaying sweet new oak and reminiscent more of Mouton-Rothschild than Châteauneuf du Pape, offers cherry liqueur, cream and spice in abundance.
