Jean-Marc Boillot's wines are amongst the most sought after in Burgundy, very much his own man he makes wines which combine elegance with opulence with the object being to express his fine terroirs. 2006 produced easy to understand Chardonnay which will drink well in it's youth and be good for medium term ageing. This 'Lieu dit' site is better than many domaines Premier Crus with notes of hazelnut, white flowers, peach and wonderful intergration at this early stage.

"Pommard. Gold. Fine and well delineated and - for heaven’s sake - go for it! Rich yet savoury. Lots of fruit yet in the tight Burgundian corset. Fab stuff! 17.5 points."
