Origin
Mornington Peninsula is a sub-region of Victoria which, in recent years, has been identified as arguably the best area in Australia for cultivating the classic Burgundian varieties. From the estate's Main Ridge vineyard, this Chardonnay is whole-bunch pressed and fermented with wild yeasts in French oak barriques.
Taste
The nose shows complex caramel and butter notes, not rich so much as deep. Layered on top are fruit aromas of white stonefruit and honeydew melon, themselves topped by a range of funky, savoury notes. It’s a luxurious wine for sure, one that delivers its caramel and stonefruit flavours on a bed of satin sheets and down pillows.
Enjoy
Poached salmon would go perfectly.

    Very delicate Chardonnay

    A cool climate Chardonnay which is very delicate but shows some complexity, and with just a faintest hint of oak. This wine would go well with scallops or other white fish dishes, but unfortunately I found it just a little bland and underwhelming.
