Origin
Alvaro Palacios comes from a well-known Rioja family, but established his own winery in Priorat, just south of Barcelona in 1989. This is a bold, modern and polished wine, perhaps testament to Alvaro's time working under Jean Pierre Moueix of Château Pétrus.
Taste
Dark purple in colour, with equally dark fruit filling the nose. Bramble, blueberry and cherry aromas predominate, accompanied by subtle floral hints. Rich and smooth on the palate, with a spicy finish.
Enjoy
Best served with a rich beef stew or pot roast.
