White peach, citrus fruits and fennel all in a glass!
Several years ago I enjoyed a picnic facing this château but never visited it. So this was a great opportunity to try one of their wines!
It has a lovely floral nose with a hint of barrel-fermentation. On the palate it has lovely mouthfeel - soft and slightly oily - with white peach and citrus flavours leading into hints of fennel and liquorice at the finish. There is good acidity and great length.
If you like white Rhône, you'll love this - similar flavours but more elegant and less heavy. Excellent!
