"I've been following the Muga family wines since first tasting their 1987 vintage many years ago, and finally persuaded them to sell to Majestic during my years as a buyer in the early 1990s. The wines are unashamedly old-fashioned, being made in huge wood vats and fined using egg white. Unlike many modern Riojas they retain the traditional soft, strawberry fruit character and are fantastically balanced.
