"As Burgundy from the famous Côte d’Or gets beyond the reach of many customers, the vineyards further south have taken up the challenge to produce excellent wine. Formerly blended into mass-market wines, many producers are now vinifying carefully, using good quality oak, and creating crisp, complex wines that are a world away from blowsy Australian Chardonnay. Made especially for us by the dynamic winemakers at the well-known Domaine des Deux Roches, this is a great example - great as an aperitif or with food, especially if the sun’s out."

"A blend of grapes including Garganega and Cortese sourced from the Veneto region near Verona in North East Italy. The greater fame and availability of wines from nearby Soave means this wine remains excellent value - great news for the savvy consumer! A wonderfully refreshing wine with notes of melon, lemon and apple."
