    Ordering more!

Usually I stick to Chilean reds, but thought I'd give this a try as I'm a fan of their sauvignon blanc. Very happy to report it's delicious - full of flavour and satisfyingly chewy. Will be enjoying more of it in future!

    Splendid Value

Comes from one of our favourite Franschhouk stables. (The Chocolate Block from this producer is exceptional and expensive even in SA). This wine is good, smooth and easy to drink (too easy!!). I recommend this with good meat, cheese, or just by itself. We will be ordering a constant supply.

    Fruity

Soft, supple & very fruity! If you like dry reds with tannin this is probably not for you. If you like approachable fruit bombs, give it a go (bit of a bargain at £5.99 at the moment)

Staff Reviews

  • Grat value

"When this wine is not on offer, it sells pretty well because it is very fruity, and Syrah Viognier from out side of France is not as well known (and not often noted on the label). On our Spring promotion at 20% off, it represents amazing value, and is almost certain to sell out. Soft rasbery flavour, well intergrated tanin, can be enjoyed on its own, but great with a bit of red meat!"

  • big and smooth!

"This is one of my favourite South African reds. For less than £7 it is an absolute bargain. It's incredibly versatile, even though it is big and full bodied, it can be drunk on it's own thanks to the abundance of jammy fruit. I especially enjoy this wine with a nice piece of steak!"
