Character-filled blend of local varieties that is really attractive (2010 Vintage)
"There's a certain warm-climate (Alentejo is as warm as it gets in European wine) sweetness to the fruit in this character-filled blend of local varieties (plus a dose of Syrah) that is really attractive, all ripe plum and blackberry just shading into prune and raisin. There's a touch of Parma violet, too, in a flavour-packed wine that is intense in flavour without tipping into headbanging alcohol levels.
