Ata Rangi Sauvignon Blanc 2010/2011 Martinborough

Clive Paton first planted vines in his 12 acre paddock in 1980, making him one of Martinborough's winemaking pioneers. His estate now includes plots throughout the Wairarapa area. Ata Rangi has been frequently awarded and is ranked as one of New Zealand's best wineries.

Sancerre Comte Lafond 2010 Ladoucette

Ladoucette is one of the top Pouilly-Fumé producers and this is his marvellous Sancerre. Refined and elegantly balanced it boasts an aromatic complexity of ripe gooseberries and rhubarb.

The White is Vergelegen's take on top white Graves. With a powerful and complex nose of greengage, fresh herbs, lime and hot buttered toast the palate is rich and layered with real polish and terrific balance.

Rudd Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2009 Mount Veeder

It boasts extraordinary minerality as well as laser-like precision and notes of honeyed melons intermixed with gun flint, nectarines and lemon blossoms. A beautifully textured, rich, fresh Sauvignon Blanc, it should drink nicely for several years. 93 points. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate.

Château Rieussec 2003 Sauternes, 1er Cru Classé

Now bottled they are gorgeous, rich wines and will drink well early. Generally just behind Yquem in quality Rieussec is a very fine wine indeed.
