Sauvignon Blanc

Origin
Groot Constantia is the oldest wine estate in South Africa, it is even said a glass of Groot Constantia was one of Napoleon's last wishes before he died. Whilst red makes up over 70% of plantations, this crisp Sauvignon offers real class at a great price.
Taste
This wine shows clearly defined herbaceous and mineral character on the nose and the palate gives way to ripe pear and green apple notes and a long, perfectly balanced finish.
Enjoy
Really crisp and refreshing, this Sauvignon Blanc is a really zesty, minerally wine which is perfect as an apéritif.

A great South African Sauvignon Blanc

It still tastes as good as it did in the tasting room at Groot Constantia on a hot, sunny March day in South Africa. Smooth & quite fruity for a Sauvignon, absolutely delicious.

    Totally splendiferous !

This is the wine that woke me up to SB and I still love it. A full, complex wine but still with the austerity that you would want and expect, this is a classy wine and whenever I serve it people are won over....I always keep a few bottles in and always will..tremendous

Fantastic, perfect example of a SA sauvignon blanc.

Great wine this, lovely example of a South African sauvignon blanc, and especially good value when there's an offer on - always a safe bet if you want a full bodied SB - it's fresh & has a degree of complexity.

    Refined

Refined nose of hay, nectarines. Lovely mouthfeel, more bordeaux than loire or NZ, good length. Food wine.

Fantastic Sauvignon Blanc, full of character and clean , balanced finish. Normally a fan of the Kiwi Sav Blancs but this is more than a match. Strongly recommended, especially with the SA wines discount currently running.
