Ruby red in colour, with an intense nose of ripe red berries, and the toasty scent of 12 months in barrel. Mellow and well rounded, with a smooth mouth-feel and satisfyingly chewy tannins.

A deep ruby core with a purple rim. A ripe and youthful nose of cherries and sloes, with hints of tobacco leaf and spice. Harmoniously structured, with a firm texture and enduring tannins. A great all-round food wine, to drink now or keep for 2-3 years. Try with a selection of traditional antipasti.

A bright ruby red wine with an emphasis on fresh redcurrant, raspberry and sour cherry fruit flavours. Dry and moderately savoury, with subtle oak influence, and medium weight and tannins. An easy match with many Italian-style foods. Try with an aubergine and roasted vegetable lasagne.

Employing exceptionally low-yielding vines and temperature-controlled fermentation has maximised the intensity of the vibrant cherry fruit character of the Sangiovese grape, which makes up 80% of this blend.

Il Sodero Sangiovese Cabernet 2008 Tenuta Moraia Toscana

Bright crimson in colour with a matching aromatic profile: red cherry, raspberry and red pepper aromas predominate, with very subtle spice. Medium palate weight and flavours of cherry and liquorice. Complements the fresh acidic zip of traditional pasta sauces, such as arrabiata or primavera.
