A wine of exceptional length, the palate displays classic Riesling flavours of lime and grapefruit and green apple. This is a wine with great intensity and depth of flavour. The palate finishes with clean crisp succulent acidity.

On the palate, this has a taut structure, with grapefruit and pineapple characters to the fore, as well as soft, mouth-filling and attractive peach. This finishes long and dry.

Trimbach Riesling 2009

Trimbach describe Riesling as the 'King of the wines of Alsace'. This example is developed on the nose and shows a hint of mineral flavours associated with good ripeness and acidity.

Riesling 'Les Princes Abbés' 2009 Domaines Schlumberger

A vivid yellow with greenish tinges. The nose is nicely defined by aromas of grapefruit and lime zest. Bone dry on the palate, with a refreshing, bracing acidity and a clean, saline finish.
