The Shortlist Riesling 2005 McGuigan, Eden Valley

The Shortlist is a select range of wines from McGuigan with each bottle individually numbered - and Majestic has secured the entire UK allocation. This is a single-vineyard Riesling from the multi-award-winning McGuigan winery, which has been given extended bottle ageing at the winery to develop complexity and a lovely petrol character.

Leeuwin Estate Art Series Riesling 2009 Margaret River

A wine of exceptional length, the palate displays classic Riesling flavours of lime and grapefruit and green apple. This is a wine with great intensity and depth of flavour. The palate finishes with clean crisp succulent acidity.

St Hallett Poacher's Blend 2010/2011 Barossa Valley

A youthful character on the nose, which brims with notes of lime, apple and melon. Equally zesty and fresh on the palate, but with an approachable softness of texture, and well rounded acidity.

Riesling Zöbinger Heilingenstein Alte Reben 2008 Weingut Bründlmayer

On the palate, this has a taut structure, with grapefruit and pineapple characters to the fore, as well as soft, mouth-filling and attractive peach. This finishes long and dry.

Saint Clair Pioneer Block 9 Big John Riesling 2010 Marlborough

Nicknamed 'Big John', after the Block 9 vineyard's owner, who stands at a towering 6ft 10inches. This Riesling has been made in a style reminiscent of a German Spätlese, with noticeable residual sweetness, balanced out by acidity and complexity of flavour.
