Pinot Noir produces deliciously smooth wines with ripe silky tannins and juicy red summer fruit. Although it is famed for producing the red wines of Burgundy, and in particular, the Côte d’Or, Pinot Noir is now widely cultivated outside of Burgundy, in regions that mirror its cool growing conditions, such as Central Otago, New Zealand, the Yarra Valley, Australia and Carneros, California. Pinot Noir’s invaluable contribution to Champagne must also not be forgotten!
-
Made for early drinking, this is an open and generously textured Pinot Noir, with warm and jammy red fruit flavours, together with soft tannins and medium body. At its best with duck or rabbit dishes.
-
Bright red cherries and summer berries characterise the fruit, highlighted by aromas of dried herbs. The sweetness of the fruit is balanced by firm tannins and a streak of taught acidity.
-
This is a fresh, fruity style of wine showing subtle hints of redcurrant and raspberry. This wine sees no oak which means it is best consumed while fresh and young.
-
Rich garnet core with a purplish rim. Aromas of ripe black cherries and currants, with a lifted raspberry note and a hint of vanilla. Fine tannins, medium palate weight, and good fruit concentration.
-
A well-rounded and drinkable Pinot Noir, with a backbone of vibrant red fruit, embellished with hints of vanilla, cinnamon and savoury earthy notes. Enjoy with grilled pork or veal cutlets.
-
Deep garnet in the glass, and offering a bouquet of redcurrant jelly, toast and subtle smokiness. Full and amply textured on the palate, with dense, savoury-sweet fruit and tightly wound tannins. Best with nutty, mature cheeses such as cheddar, manchego or raclette.

A superbly structured, deep, complex and involving Pinot, and a great benchmarker of the vintage.

As you dive down, you’ll pass through layers of snapped twig, spice, raspberry, umami, ripe cherry, nougat and more. The palate is equally evasive for, although it does not hold back its flavours, the journey on which it takes you isn’t immediately obvious. First, a cuddly hit of berry fruit. Then, on the middle palate, an array of sweet and savoury flavours, encompassing everything from beetroot leaves to rhubarb to tobacco and spice.

The wines come from selected parcels of old vines, and are made with a minimalist approach, including fermentation by natural yeasts. This Pinot Noir speands 18 months in a mixture of new and old French oak, for a classically elegant, sweet and savoury structure.

Made from older vines than the Tavola, it is darker in color, more perfumed, and more structured. Even so, it is a laid back, easy-to-understand Pinot with good balance and length that will provide enjoyment over the next 6-8 years. 89 points. Jay Miller, The Wine Advocate.

Intense black cherry, wild thyme, truffle and a hint of black tea make for a complex aroma. The palate is tightly packed with dense fine tannin yet the ample fruit flesh provides a silky texture that finishes with a floral lift.

This wine has a spicy bouquet layered with notes of cola, clove, black cherry, and sandalwood. The mid-palate is silky in texture, with flavors of red fruit, mineral, and a distinct earthiness that expresses the masculine attributes of the Rincon Vineyard.

The flavours are remarkably balanced with a bouquet that evokes damp forest floor, wild cherries, blackberries. Spicy and clearly marked by a note of cloves with nuances of camphor.

This wine is part of an Exclusive Parcel secured through our Fine Wine Centre. Very fine fruit concentration on the palate, wild strawberry, a touch of cranberry with fine minerality towards the finish. Not great depth or length, feminine in style, well-crafted Clos Vougeot for medium-term drinking. Neal Martin's Wine Journal, erobertparker.com.

From a parcel of 40-year-old vines in this superb 1er Cru, which borders Musigny, this is better than many Grands Crus. With a lifted and heady nose of rosemary, lavender, crushed raspberry and vanilla, the palate is concentrated, with great balance, texture and length.

This wine is part of an Exclusive Parcel secured through our Fine Wine Centre. A fascinating contrast to the domaine's Clos de Vougeot, this Echézeaux combines juicy, succulent fruit and mineral notes with a coating of dark chocolate. Layered and textured and in exquisite harmony. Seductive, complex and sophisticated.
