This is a mellow Pinot Noir from the famous Cote d'Or village of Gevrey-Chambertin, and produced by the well-respected Maison Louis Chavy which was founded in 1938 by Louis Chavy, a famous grower in Puligny-Montrachet. The wine is medium-bodied and delicate, with enticing berry fruit flavours and good balance. Several years in bottle have resulted in subtle gamey and earthy flavours so typical of good mature Pinot Noir.
