Winemaker Maria Pilar de Gonzalez chose a blend of Carmènere, Merlot, Syrah and Petite Syrah to balance out 50% ultra-premium Cabernet Sauvignon from Carmen's own vineyards. 100% French oak ageing for 12 months gives the wine tremendous personality with cassis, plum, cedar, mint and violet notes, merging seamlessly into a rich, smoky palate.
