Grape

Malbec

Origin
In 1999, as a result of the need to express their love and dedication to viticulture and winemaking, Susana and Pedro of Dominio del Plata, started their own project together. The grapes are handpicked from vineyards in the foothills of the Andes.
Taste
Deep red, with complex aromas of ripe red fruits. Cherry, currants and blackberries combine with notes of vanilla and coffee. This expressive wine has firm, sweet tannins giving a delightful finish.
Enjoy
This rich full bodied wine would be a great accompaniment to lots of red meats, such as wild boar, rib-eye steak or cassoulet.

    Mmmmmendoza!

Lovely black fruits and vanilla leaving a long smooth finish. Definitely one of the better Malbecs I've tried

    Drink

Brilliant big wine that goes fabulously with a big stew, or at least that's what I had it with. Which is great because the slow cooker produces enough for two days and thus you need another bottle to accompany it. Thoroughly recommended.

    Dare I say, it's Orgasmic!!

This, of many good Malbecs on the market, is one of our firm favourites and although a bit expensive, we believe it is worth every penny. We'll be back for more!

    2nd only to Mayu

This used to be my favourite wine, but the price has gone up and the Mayu is slightly better. Well worth a try though

Fruity, Silky smooth & well balanced

Very well balanced, silky smooth tannins, with nice jammy blackberries & plumminess, let it breathe for at least 1 hour before drinking it. Very drinkable now compared to the Catena 2007 at the same price which was more tannic and probably needs more cellaring. Lovely with a rare steak. Again very well balanced. Susana Balbo, the winemaker, did a great job on this one!
