Domaine Ott Rouge 2005 Château Romassan, Bandol

Mourvedre, Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah from Domaines Ott's Romassan estate have been blended together to create this classic red. The dominant Mourvedre gives this wine its spicy, animal personality and a generous bouquet of blackcurrant and morello cherry. It is rich in tannin, warm, and highly balanced. Makes for remarkable quaffing with beef ribs, spicy dishes and cheese.

The Ironstone Pressings GSM 2007 d'Arenberg, McLaren Vale

A blockbusting Rhône-inspired blend of 70% Grenache, 25% Shiraz and 5% Mourvedre, d'Arenberg's vineyards are managed in a very traditional way, with minimal irrigation and no soil cultivation resulting in naturally low yields and superb flavour concentration.

Torre Muga Reserva 2006 Muga 75cl Bottles

A fantastic Rioja of titanic proportions and yet lovely to drink now. It has just received 96 points in the Wine Advocate and at this price is a real bargain. (Spain)

Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2008 Château de Beaucastel

This wine is part of an Exclusive Parcel secured through our Fine Wine Centre. 'More evolved than Beaucastel's wines tend to be, it reveals a healthy dark plum/ruby color, notes of licorice, meat juices, smoked game, black currants and garrigue, medium to full body, silky tannins, good freshness, surprising depth for the vintage and a long finish. This wine is part of an Exclusive Parcel secured through our Fine Wine Centre. This hugely concentrated, muscular wine is very powerful, excruciatingly tannic at present, but super-rich. It is certainly a terrific Mon Aieul, but for those who are very patient. 94+ points. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate.
